GE Renewable Energy has been selected by Spanish energy company Repsol to supply wind turbines for the Delta II project in Aragon, Spain.
Delta II comprises six wind farms with a total capacity of 133MW. GE will supply 22 of its 6.1MW turbines for all six farms, namely the Santa Cruz I, Amp, II, III, and San Isidro I and II.
The blades will be manufactured by GE’s Spanish wind turbine blade subsidiary, LM Wind Power. The wind turbine towers will also be produced in Spain, while the nacelles will be produced in Salzbergen, Germany.

The Delta II project is Repsol’s largest renewables project currently under construction, with a total capacity of 860MW.
“This new agreement with GE Renewable Energy is a further step towards meeting our ambitious goal of reaching 6GW of renewables by 2025 and 20 GW by 2030,” said Enrique Pedrosa, chief operating officer for Europe and Latin America of Repsol Low Carbon Generation business.
GE Renewable Energy has more than 4.6GW of installed capacity in Spain and to date has installed 400MW with Repsol in the country.
